Boat Parade Experience - Festive Fun!

This year, Waterfront Education is offering a unique Boat Parade Experience! Participation in this adventure requires teamwork as students utilize a variety of individual skills and talents to put their entry together based on the boat parade theme  - “Surfing the Yuletide”. Students will plan their design, create all the decorations, add the lights, and turn a concept into a reality . Not super into arts and crafts? That's ok! Students will also be able to explore the electrical side of things, working to program and coordinate their music and lights display. We will even explore craftsmanship and go over safety with power tools. To culminate the class, students will get the chance to show off their hard work in the 2019 King Harbor Boat Parade, either in the spotlight as a holiday rockstar or as a technician behind the scenes.  Come join us for this creative holiday adventure on the sea! Space is VERY limited so register today!

Saving Our Oceans
One Excited Kid at a Time!

We are on a mission to save our oceans and we need you to be a part of it.

By exposing kids to the ocean they learn how important it is for our very existence on the planet. They then want to protect it  and all the creatures that call it home. Last year our programs educated over 600 kids from around Southern California. To secure the future of our oceans we need your help. Please consider a gift of any size to Waterfront Education. It is a small action that could protect our marine environments for future generations.

It was such an enriching, informative and empowering trip for students, parents and teachers. For students to get out on the water on their own, for parents to witness that independence and teachers to watch kids blossom was priceless!
