We need you! Make a difference in our community.

We are expanding our Waterfront Education team and offering new ways for you to get involved! We have opportunities for volunteers of all ages to inspire curiosity and make a positive difference in the lives of our students. Our volunteer tasks vary from education to day-to-day operations. Take a look at some of our Volunteer Programs below to find the right fit for you!

Tailored for our younger team members, our Tidepool Team is the perfect way for anyone under 21 years of age to get involved with Waterfront Education.  Our program is unique in its flexibility and comfort. Have a chance to assist with with Waterfront Education events, help with the general management and coordination of Waterfront Education to start learning what it takes to work in a non-profit, and/or educate and assist with our classes. Waterfront Education is dedicated to fostering innovation and a creative approach to technology while utilizing our local ocean waters as a natural classroom. We wanted to extend the learning process to college students or recently college graduates who have an interest in getting more involved with our programs. We have opportunities for growth in the following areas:

  1. Education Intern (assisting with teaching our classes alongside a professional educator)
  2. Technical Intern (Running our newsletter, social media, and editing our website)
  3. Event Planning Intern (Assisting with planning special events and working with our booster club)

We are growing and need your help! Join our newly formed "Splash Squad" and support our many events that we have planned. Splash Squad plans and executes events that will benefit the mission and goals of our foundation. With flexible time commitment options for our volunteers, Splash Squad provides an opportunity to improve and showcase specific skills essential in event management while contributing to a beneficial organization in the community.

Splash Squad members must be at least 21 years of age and willing to undertake specific roles to ensure the success of each event.  Meetings will be held on the 3rd  Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Redondo Beach.
