Job Description

Assistant educators work closely with the Discovery Leader team to provide educational enrichment programs to Waterfront Education students. Assistant educators will assist with classroom management and help to maintain orderly programs. Assistant educators will also help coordinate activities on the water and will be present and actively participate in all program activities. This position is ideal for a candidate who is looking to gain experience working with students in an outdoor and informal setting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be comfortable participating in activities on the water including but not limited to swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, and sailing.

  • Must be comfortable working with elementary and middle school students.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with young children.

  • Experience leading water sports and activities.

  • Experience in marine science, environmental science, biology, ecology or other related field.
